#173: Don’t be a Copycat

“So, remember how last May, Lowe’s sent a bunch of emails about a Spring Black Friday promotion (which was ridiculous, lasted over several weekends, and made zero sense)? Then Home Depot thought it would be a good idea to rip off that idea and use it for themselves this year.”

@EmailSnarketing

Refrain from ripping off bad ideas from similar companies, especially if the idea is barely a “thing” in the first place. Keep your content as fresh and original as possible, and if you wish to use/adjust a competitor’s idea, be sure to do your research first and ensure it’s actually a viable marketing option.
