#239: Use Visual Cues

“According to Nielsen Group, people scan emails very quickly, and the only areas they give any appreciable amount of time to at all are the initial copy and headlines. Visuals are an important part of the design, and should serve as cues for where visitors should look next.”

According to Kissmetrics, “the human gaze has a natural tendency to follow the gaze of others,” similarly we understand that arrows are meant to lead up in the right direction. Use these innate triggers, to help guide customers towards your most valuable information or a specific call-toaction. Use visuals that look or point at your content to improve the user’s experience.
