#85: Write Call-To-Value Instead of Call-To-Action

“For example, if you’re a travel agent, don’t let your copy read ‘Call now for a free quote’ or something equally typical and uninspiring. Instead, drive them to take action with a sneak peak: ‘Call now and let the anticipation begin’ or ‘Click today and be gone tomorrow’.”


This tip will help struggling writers makes better copy choices when writing the call to action— or whatever next step you want the reader to take. Instead of asking a reader to ‘act now’, invite them to visualize what they’re going to get (the real value) by taking action.
